A new ad campaign is using Christmas to highlight the need for an expansion of public schools in Ohio

Ads released by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and the Buckeye State Chamber of Industry will highlight the growing need for a school expansion in the state.

According to the ads, Columbus is home to nearly 70 percent of the state’s public school students, but Columbus is also the state with the highest percentage of students with disabilities.

The Chamber of Business and the Chamber of the Arts will also run ads featuring Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther.

Ginther, a former Democratic U.S. senator, is seeking re-election next year.

The ads, titled Columbus Is a Big City, will be airing in Columbus-area public schools through Jan. 31, 2019.

The Buckeye Chamber of Industries, which is based in Columbus, is also running ads that highlight the Columbus-based chain’s importance in the local economy.

The ads will run in Columbus schools from Jan. 28 through Feb. 4, 2019, and in elementary and middle schools from Feb. 9 through March 7.

The Ohio Chamber will also air ads that focus on the importance of the Buckeyes football team, which plays in Ohio Stadium, and its football stadium in Columbus.
